Synonym of The network
The Network
Members It is speculated that members of The Network include Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool, all of whom are most famous for their work as the band Green Day. The stage names of The Network are Fink, The Snoo, Van Gough, Captain Underpants, Z, and Balducci.Armstrong denies the involvement of any Green Day members in The Network. Although the style of music is different (New Wave as opposed to Green Day's punk-rock style), Armstrong's voice can be unmistakably made out on several Money Money 2020 tracks. In a recorded statement at the Green Day website, Armstrong says "I just wanted to talk about the rumours and the bullshit that has been going on lately. All I gotta say is fuck The Network. These guys are totally spreading rumors. I try to do those guys a favor by bringing them to this country and putting out their record and this is how I get repaid, by talking shit about my band. Unfortunately there is a contract and I have to put out their record. The only thing I can say is "Fuck you, Network. Bring it on".

Questo perché non siamo a conoscenza della vera identità dei componenti del gruppo, di cui conosciamo solo gli pseudonimi: Fink, Van Gough, The Snoo, Capitan Underpants e Z. I 5 non mostrano mai il proprio volto in interviste e concerti, durante i quali si presentano al pubblico solo indossando maschere e costumi che rendono impossibile ogni riconoscimento. Ma nonostante l’aspetto camuffato possiamo farci ugualmente un’idea su chi siano realmente i Network. Os integrantes usam máscaras, mas muitos desconfiam que sejam Billie Joe, Mike Dirnt e o Tré Cool, juntamente com os assistentes Jason White, Chris Dugan e Peter Reto querendo fazer um tipo de som diferente (um som meio eletrônico). Eles usam nomes falsos, e sempre que possível dão entrevistas dizendo que odeiam o Green Day.

Historia En el 2003, la disquera independiente que dirige Billie Joe Armstrong (líder deGreen Day) Adeline Records firmó y publicó un disco titulado Money Money 2020 de una banda llamada The Network. Dicha banda consta de 6 miembros que salen con máscaras y nunca han sido captados por ninguna cámara sin portar sus disfraces. Inmediatamente después de salir su disco, múltiples medios de comunicación (incluyendo la reconocida greenday.net) juguetearon con la idea de que The. Network eran en realidad los integrantes de Green Day divirtiéndose un rato con un proyecto alterno de new-wave, proto-punk tipo Devo.Estos rumores se acrecentaron cuando Billie Joe declaró "No soporto a estos tipos The Network son una basura, malagradecidos, yo les publiqué su disco, los traje del extranjero y ¿así me responden?, hablando mierda de mi banda, que se vayan al carajo". Green Day
Green Day er et amerikansk soft punkband fra East Bay i California. Bandet består av tre faste medlemmer: Billie Joe Armstrong (gitar, vokal), Mike Dirnt (bass) og Tré Cool (trommer). Green Day har solgt over 65 millioner plater verden over, og er verdens mestselgende band innenfor sin sjanger. Bandets suksess har hatt innflytelse på en rekke nyere band, deriblant Sum 41, My Chemical Romance og Good Charlotte. Green Day har mottatt tre Grammy-priser for beste alternative album («Dookie»), beste rockealbum («American Idiot») og årets låt («Boulevard of Broken Dreams»).

A fictional conspiracy of libertarian hacker-subversives and anti-authoritarian monkeywrenchers described in Robert Anton Wilson's novel "Schrödinger's Cat", to which many hackers have subsequently decided they belong (this is an example of ha ha only serious). In sense 1, `the network' is often abbreviated to `the net'. "Are you on the net?" is a frequent question when hackers first meet face to face, and "See you on the net!" is a frequent goodbye.
