The Calling to kalifornijski zespół rockowy, powstały w roku 2001. Został założony przez Alexa Banda (wokalista) i Aarona Kamina (gitarzysta). Później do grupy dołączyli: Sean Woolstenhulme – gitarzysta, Billy Mohler – basista i Nate Wood – perkusista. Grupa wydała swój pierwszy album, zatytułowany Camino Palmero 10 lipca 2001 roku. Promowały go trzy single: Wherever You Will Go, Adrienne i Could It Be Any Harder. Kolejny album, Two, wydano 8 czerwca 2004. Promujące go single to Our Lives, Things Will Go My Way i Anything. W rok po wydaniu drugiego albumu zespół został rozwiązany. Alex Band w jednym z wywiadów powiedział reporterom, że zamierza wydać album solowy.

I The Calling sono un gruppo rock originario di Los Angeles, in California. La band era inizialmente composta da Alex Band (voce) e Aaron Kamin (chitarra). Successivamente si aggiunsero Sean Woolstenhulme (chitarre), Billy Mohler (basso) e Nate Wood (batteria), e incisero il primo album dei The Calling. uscito nel Luglio del 2001, Camino Palmero diventò una hit, grazie alla forza del singolo Wherever You Will Go, usato per una puntata della seconda serie di Smallville e per uno spot tv per la Mulino Bianco. Band e Kamin (senza Wood, Woolstenhulme, e Mohler) ritornarono nel Giugno 2004 con Two. A Giugno del 2005, la band si prese una pausa. Attualmente Alex Band sta registrando un nuovo album solista, che uscirà nel 2008.

A primeira formação da banda foi Alex Band (vocal), Aaron Kamin (guitarra), Billy Mohler (baixo), Sean Woolstenhulme (guitarra) e Nate Wood (bateria). Em seguida Dino Meneghin entra no lugar de Sean.
