Abstract strategy game
An abstract strategy game is a board game with perfect information, no chance, and (usually) two players or teams. Many of the world's classic board games, including checkers, chess, go, and mancala, fit into this category. Play is sometimes said to resemble a series of puzzles the players pose to each other.

Juego abstracto
Los juegos abstractos son aquellos que tienen poco o nada de tema o, si lo tienen, aquellos que podrían seguir siendo jugados sin tenerlo. Con tema se refiere a que simulen algún aspecto de la realidad (economía, guerra, etc.) En consecuencia, pueden jugarse empleando como material de juego elementos muy sencillos: un tablero, fichas, dados, etcétera.

Abstrakta spel, spel vars förlopp inte försöker avbilda någon aspekt av verkligheten, eller där likheten mellan spelet och verkligheten är mycket svag.
משחק אסטרטגיה מופשט
משחק אסטרטגיה אבסטרקטי (באנגלית: Abstract strategy game) הוא משחק אסטרטגיה ללא אלמנט מזל שמשוחק בדרך כלל על גבי לוח. הוא מתאפיין בתכונות הבאות:
בהתאם לכך, גורל המשחק למעשה נקבע רק לפי ההחלטות של השחקנים ולפי החשיבה שלהם. תכונה זאת הופכת את המשחקים הללו לכר נרחב למחקר של תכונותיהם המתמטיות, ולשעשועי מתמטיקה. התחום שעוסק בכך נקרא תורת המשחקים הקומבינטורית.
