Synonym of A1

Wikipedia English - The Free Encyclopedia

A1 means "very good" or in the best possible condition. It is usually considered to derive from the shipping insurers, Lloyds of London's description of "A1 at Lloyd's", a first class ship. It was also a term popularised by the British War Office ABC system of classification for recruits in the First World War. A-1 recruits were considered fit for general service overseas.

Aguilar (Asteroid)

(1800) Aguilar ist ein Asteroid des Hauptgürtels, der am 12. September 1950 von dem argentinischen Astronom Miguel Itzigsohn in La Plata entdeckt wurde.

Der Asteroid wurde vermutlich nach dem argentinischen Astronom Félix Aguilar benannt oder aber nach dem spanischen Astronom Antonio Aguilar.
